One of Denmark's largest suppliers of POS materials and printed matter

JOHNSEN PRINT & DIGITAL MEDIA acquires CS Grafisk A/S and consolidates its position in the industry. They will now become one of the largest suppliers of POS materials - both to the country's retail chains and to well-known brands across many industries. Together, the two companies employ 115 people - and are on course for a turnover of DKK 155,000,000 in 2022.

The collaboration between Johnsen and CS Grafisk has been underway since June 2021. The long run-up has paved the way for a thorough test run; where the owners have looked at each other and evaluated the concept, form and competitiveness. The collaboration has also already been successfully tested on real customers and projects.

Community and streamlining benefits customers

Regardless of segment, the collaboration offers customers a range of one-stop benefits:

"Some customers benefit from our 360-degree concept with an integrated full-service advertising agency, a large graphic house with its own print shop, and a department for online marketing and SoMe," says CEO Steen Johnsen and continues:

"Others reap the benefits of printed matter, which is increasingly placed at CS Grafisk A/S, where customers also have access to a larger bindery. Also when it comes to catalogs with fixed spines or full-bound books."

Background: Changing media habits also play a role

Physical, household-distributed printed matter has been in decline for years. This trend means changes in the customer marketing mix, as new ways of reaching consumers are needed. Therefore, new and different customer experiences need to be developed.

"With the collaboration between our two companies, we can deliver everything other than classic offer newspapers; from consulting, idea development and inspiration to POS materials and all other offline and online materials," says CEO Steen Johnsen.

The internal collaboration benefits

Both Johnsen and CS Grafisk get several "internal" benefits from the collaboration. CSG gets access to an advertising agency, warehouse solution, financial management, joint purchasing discounts and IT and portal solutions.

The advantages for us are strengthened access to the catalog market and the ability to offer customers bookbinding. And the majority of CSG's tasks within large format materials are now placed with Johnsen.
