As only the 11th printing company in the world, we offer printed materials that comply with one of the world’s most demanding standards for production and the use of materials—all of which are safe, recyclable, and even beneficial to the environment.

Cradle to Cradle Certified® Products Program is the name of the program. It's all about strengthening the circular economy.

Our product line GreenPrint by Johnsen has thus achieved the certification Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze. The line includes everything from brochures to posters, flags and magazines.

With the well-known Nordic Swan Ecolabel, you give the environment a serious helping hand. The aim of the label is to contribute to a healthier environment - including the working environment.

Johnsen is certified under License Version 6, which applies to printing, printed materials, envelopes, and other finished paper products.

This guarantees that we meet these requirements, among others:

• We use responsibly produced paper and vegetable-based, water-based inks.
• We ensure optimal recycling in our production units.
• We minimize paper waste and other waste.
• We save energy and use renewable energy.

You can buy FSC-labeled paper with a clear conscience. The international non-profit labeling scheme for wood and paper guarantees that animal and plant life in forests is protected.

The same goes for the people who work in FSC forests; they are guaranteed training, safety equipment, decent working conditions and a good wage.

At the same time, FSC gives you the guarantee that no more wood is ever harvested than the forest can reproduce itself.

In FSC forests, there is therefore no overall loss of trees.

When you want to know the climate impact of a specific print or graphic product, we do a climate calculation for you.

Johnsen has ClimateCalc certification for sheetfed offset and digital printing, which means that we can calculate the total climate footprint of the production of printed matter.

This takes into account everything from the production of the material and the printing ink to packaging and transportation. This means you can see the totalCO₂ emissions even before we start producing your printed material.

ISO 14001 is the leading international standard for environmental management. ISO 14001 helps us allocate and describe environmental tasks in our daily work.

This standard provides us with a framework structure and roadmap to help us improve our environmental performance in line with our environmental policy commitments.

Among other things, we primarily use vegetable-based inks in our sheet-fed offset printing. This has significantly reduced the amount of harmful chemicals in our production.
