Why Johnsen is a member of Global Compact
As a member of the UN Global Compact, Johnsen supports the world's largest targeted initiative where business supports human rights, labor rights, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
A big mouthful, yes.
But on the one hand, we should all - citizens, politicians and businesses - fight to ensure that everyone has the best opportunities to thrive and develop. On the other hand, we should take care of the climate and the planet. Both for our own sake and for the sake of all future generations.
And when we join forces with tens of thousands of other companies around the world, it makes the big picture a little easier to grasp. Even if the challenges are still there for all to see.
Serious companies act responsibly
Together with the other members of the UN Global Compact, we are fighting a common fight and aiming for the same goals - using a set of guiding, universal principles that all members and member states agree on. Including the UN Global Goals.
Our position is clear:
In today's Denmark - and in the global community - we as a company must contribute to concrete, measurable and positive change. While at the same time running a good, healthy business. And good business sense requires good, responsible business operations.
