Flowers, bees & biodiversity
"Out with hedges. And in with flowers, shrubs and nice little trees."
This could be the motto for our outdoor areas. Because our green areas at Bakkehegnet in Grenaa have already been expanded with many new plantings.
We have removed most of our 'streamlined' hedges to make room for beautiful and diverse flowers - which also act as nature's own little attraction magnets for bees and insects.
To extend the period of life-affirming buzz, we've sown seeds from different plants - as they bloom at different times of the year.
On the roof of the company we have established a biodiversity garden and a number of solar cells that power the printing house. In our garden, the plan is to attract many bees, set up beehives and eventually offer our own honey to visitors.

Biodiversity - from words to action
Everyone talks about biodiversity. And that's a good start...
When each of us takes action, something happens. You and your company are probably already doing a lot. And as you can see throughout the website, we've been putting our money where our mouth is for years. Get a quick overview here:
Paper for better biodiversity
We use FSC-certified paper in 90% of our print jobs. This strengthens biodiversity in the FSC forests.
Minimized waste
We are committed to increasing recycling - and our waste in printing and production is now down to 20%.
Green energy sources
We use solar and wind energy and reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.
Has biodiversity caught your interest?
