Clean Air & Climate Protection

– From energy consumption to emissions

Clean air and climate protection are about how production affects the climate and the air on which we all depend.

Cradle to Cradle Among other things, Certified® evaluates a company’s energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and efforts in the area of renewable energy, as well as emissions to the air from production.

In other words, our production is evaluated not only based on the finished print, but also on the way the printed materials are produced.

Energy consumption and emissions are factored into the assessment, and requirements are set regarding the use of renewable electricity and the reduction of climate and environmental impacts. At the same time, the assessment examines how the company documents and follows up on its results.

An important part of the philosophy behind Cradle to Cradle Certified® is that improvements are not achieved once and for all. Companies must understand their impact, work systematically to reduce it, and be able to document their progress over time.

For a modern printing company, sustainability efforts therefore involve both the materials we use and the production process itself.

The goal is to steer production toward a model that has less impact on the climate and air quality and makes greater use of renewable energy. Since 2024, we have therefore also been generating a significant portion of our energy from solar panels installed on the roofs of our facilities in Grenaa.

In this way, climate considerations become an integral part of the company’s day-to-day operations and long-term development.
