Green Power Denmark - from attitude to action
Learn how printed matter with Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze is created from raw materials to finished printed matter
The magazine 'Natural Energy' was already printed on FSC(R)-labeled paper, but in the spring of 2022, Green Power Denmark, the organization behind the magazine, became aware of GreenPrint by Johnsen - a new product line for magazines, where everything is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze.
One of the world's most advanced and science-based certification programs for materials and products that are safe, circular and responsibly manufactured.
With the Cradle to Cradle certification, you get responsibly produced paper, inks and glue. It is also produced under socially responsible conditions. Potentially harmful substances for nature, people and animals have been removed.
Green transition
Green Power Denmark contacted us and presented the dilemma with the physical member magazine - in relation to the desire to sweep credibly in front of our own door first when we talk about green transition.
"With GreenPrint by Johnsen's Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze behind us, we know that we can vouch for the physical member magazine - and that it matches our identity and self-understanding in Green Power Denmark,"
says Thomas Kjærulff Torp, editor-in-chief of Natural Energy.
So when the physical magazine arrives in members' mailboxes in the future, it now lives up to Natural Energy's mantra of green transition from front to back.
Designed to be biodegradable
Every step of the production cycle - from raw materials to finished printed matter - is designed to be biodegradable and/or recyclable. From individual components to use and disposal. As a single, step-by-step cycle.
Potentially harmful substances - for nature, people and animals - are removed from the entire product line. Materials can be tracked, documented and presented openly.
Decent working conditions and social responsibility are prioritized and documented for everyone involved in producing the GreenPrint by Johnsen product line.
'Natural Energy' is Green Power Denmark's member magazine. Green Power Denmark is Denmark's green business organization for the Danish energy sector. Together with their members, they work to ensure that Denmark is electrified with green power as soon as possible.
The organization was founded in 2022 by a merger of Danish Energy, Wind Denmark and Danish Solar Power. Today, they represent more than 1,500 members from the energy industry, large and small owners and installers of energy technology, and the companies that operate the Danish electricity grid and trade energy.
